Abstract

Fruit d'une collaboration inédite par son ampleur, cet ouvrage témoigne du foisonnement d'initiatives en cours pour renouveler l'enseignement des sciences de gestion face à la crise écologique et sociale que nous traversons. À travers ce manuel, nous souhaitons mettre à disposition des enseignants, chercheurs, étudiants et professionnels, des ressources pour faire évoluer la manière dont la gestion façonne la société. L'ouvrage appelle, dans un premier temps, la gestion à s'émanciper de son statut de science économique appliquée pour ne plus se concevoir comme un instrument de la performance financière des entreprises. Il pose ainsi la nécessité d'étudier la diversité des formes organisationnelles qui peuplent la société et incarnent une alternative au modèle dominant. Il se penche également sur la question de la gouvernance et invite à explorer différentes conceptions de la démocratie applicables aux organisations. Il propose ensuite de recenser, pour chaque sous-discipline de gestion, les principaux courants de pensée, concepts et outils mobilisables au service de la transition. Il conclut sur l'importance d'élaborer de nouveaux référentiels de l'action collective, ce qui passe par un décloisonnement interne de la gestion et une plus grande ouverture aux autres disciplines.
