Abstract

Ce chapitre met en évidence le caractère pionnier du travail d'Emmanuel Kamdem à la fois comme enseignant et comme chercheur dans le champ des études organisationnelles, depuis plus de quarante ans. À partir d'une lecture rétrospective des principales problématiques qui ont animé l'analyse des organisations sur le continent africain, il cherche à mettre en perspective la richesse et la pertinence des travaux d'Emmanuel Kamdem, lesquels ont tourné autour de la recherche d'un enseignement africain enraciné, de la compréhension des paradoxes, des singularités et des difficultés de la recherche en contexte africain, du temps de travail, de la culture, de l'interculturalité, de la gestion de la diversité et du rôle de la sorcellerie dans la gestion en Afrique noire. Cette abondante production scientifique, en proposant également des alternatives crédibles pour l'Afrique noire et le Cameroun en particulier, a permis à Emmanuel Kamdem de devenir une figure incontournable sur le continent africain par son travail, son enseignement et ses recherches dans le champ des études organisationnelles et de la gestion.
