Digital et évolution des mobilités spatiales : le cas des managers intermédiaires sur site de production

Abstract

Le manager intermédiaire sur site de production gère des équipes dispersées sur un périmètre délimité. Entre éloignement et proximité, entre visibilité et invisibilité, il doit quotidiennement gérer les spécificités de sa mobilité spatiale. Nous pensons notamment aux managers de site tels que les établissements de santé (production de soin), les usines (production industrielle) où les membres de l'équipe sont présents mais répartis physiquement sur site entre les étages et les bâtiments. En quoi l'usage des technologies digitales participe-t-il à l'évolution des mobilités spatiales de ces managers ? A partir d'une ethnographie de vingt-sept mois au sein d'un grand groupe industriel français et de trois de ses usines, nous apportons un éclairage sur la mobilité spatiale des managers intermédiaires sur site de production, entre mobilité réelle et virtuelle et entre semi-sédentarité et semi-nomadisme.
