Abstract

À l'heure des débats autour de la post-vérité et autres crises de la rationalité, il y aurait concomitamment une crise de l'expertise remettant en cause la crédibilité des savoirs officiels. Gil Eyal, professeur à Columbia University, chercheur en Science and Technology Studies (STS) et sociologie politique, apporte sa pierre à l'édifice dans un contexte politique états-unien très marqué par l'administration Trump et son offensive contre les scientifiques. En promouvant une sociologie de l'expertise, Gil Eyal se distancie de la sociologie des professions pour incorporer des actrices et acteurs plus variés, mais aussi pour étudier les agencements qui font l'expertise, au-delà des expert·es.
