Abstract

Cette contribution étudie le positionnement des plateformes numériques de vente en tant qu'intermédiaires au sein des chaînes d'approvisionnement alimentaires. Nos résultats montrent que selon la stratégie d'intermédiation mobilisée, les relations entre les producteurs et la plateforme relèvent plutôt de la dépendance mutuelle ou du déséquilibre de pouvoir. La stratégie d'intermédiation influence la résilience de la plateforme et sa croissance économique. Les plateformes tertius iungens ont la plus grande capacité de survie et les plateformes iungens observent une croissance économique plus forte. Cette étude nous conduit à proposer une nouvelle classification des stratégies d'intermédiation reposant d'une part sur la structure de l'intermédiation (tertius ou conduit) et d'autre part sur l'orientation stratégique de l'intermédiaire (iungens ou gaudens).
