Abstract

La durabilité, et en particulier le climat, sont des sujets de préoccupation majeurs de notre société aujourd'hui. Les informations environnementales, sociales et liées à la gouvernance (ESG) deviennent prépondérantes pour la prise de décision des investisseurs, des pouvoirs publics et de l'ensemble des parties prenantes. L'objectif de la neutralité carbone ne peut être atteint que si l'information sur la durabilité est produite avec la même rigueur, la même qualité, la même comparabilité et le même niveau d'assurance délivré par les auditeurs indépendants que pour l'information financière. Dans ce papier, nous avons identifié deux défis majeurs à relever par les commissaires aux comptes afin d'affirmer leur rôle de premier rang dans la validation des données financières et extra-financières : vérifier la connectivité et la cohérence entre l'information financière et l'information sur la durabilité ; vérifier la qualité et la comparabilité du reporting sur la durabilité.
