Abstract

This study seeks to identify the main components of the common and differentiated entrepreneurial potential of French and African creators, such as Moroccan and Djiboutians entrepreneurs, living in France and impacted by the French Culture. The research question asked the influence of cultural experiences on the development of the entrepreneurial potential of business creators. This questioning goes through two fundamental theoretical approaches : the particularist or universalist dimension of culture and the feature approach. The latter lead to the conceptual model relating to intercultural interpretivism. The empirical work focuses on the use of a database made up of three sub-populations : 2,065 French business creators, 393 Moroccan entrepreneurs, 40% of whom have lived at least five years in France and 206 Djiboutian entrepreneurs, 30% of whom have been immersed in French culture for at least 5 years. The result from multidimensional data analyzes highlight common Franco-African and specifically African entrepreneurial potential.
