Abstract

Dans une démarche exploratoire, cette article vise à mettre en évidence la perception qu'ont les investisseurs particuliers du marché de l'equity crowdfunding (ECF). A partir de 13 entretiens semi-directifs menés auprès d'investisseurs ayant participé à des campagnes de financement, nos résultats montrent que: les investisseurs particuliers perçoivent le marché de l'ECF comme étant positif et utile au regard des projets qui s'y financent. Trois raisons soutiennent les risques financiers pris par les investisseurs : l'accoutumance aux risques financiers, les investisseurs comprennent les difficultés des entrepreneurs, enfin les risques sont partagés avec les entrepreneurs. Les investisseurs se perçoivent comme étant mutuellement utiles au regard des informations qu'ils échangent. Enfin, il existe des relations d'influence et de confiance entre les plateformes et les investisseurs d'investissement qui poussent ces derniers à investir.
