Abstract

Les banques coopératives sont des organisations hybrides qui doivent concilier les valeurs concurrentielles du secteur bancaire et les valeurs solidaires du secteur de l'économie sociale et solidaire. Afin de comprendre la conciliation de ces paradigmes a priori incompatibles au sein de leurs pratiques de gestion, ce chapitre propose d'analyser, à travers la grille théorique de Boltanski et Thevenot, le discours des membres de trois banques coopératives régionales appartenant au même groupe bancaire. Les résultats montrent que des justifications liées au monde industriel, marchand et civique sont évoquées sans pour autant amener des conflits au sein de l'organisation. L'explication proposée ici est que la mise en avant d'un positionnement de proximité de la banque apporte de l'équivocité favorisant la cohabitation de plusieurs mondes de valeurs.
