Abstract

Son yıllarda dijital platformların kişilerin gerek günlük hayatını kolaylaştıracak gerek daha büyük ölçekli sosyal ve çevresel sorunların çözüm sürecine katılımlarını arttırabilecek önemli avantajlar sağlama potansiyelinin olduğunu görüyoruz. Bu avantajların temelinde yatan faktörlerden biri dijitalleşmenin getirdiği hızlı yayılım ve ölçek avantajlarıdır. Bu avantajlar sayesinde, dünyanın herhangi bir yerinde geliştirilen bir dijital platform dünyanın diğer yerlerinde kolaylıkla yeniden üretilebilmektedir. Bu makalede, öncelikle katılımcı dijital platformlar tanımlanacak; güncel, sosyal ve çevresel sorunların çözümünde ne şekilde kullanıldıkları ile ilgili örnekler verilecek ve büyüme dinamikleri irdelenecektir. Bunlara ek olarak dijital platformlarda teknoloji boyutuna değinilecek, geliştirilen algoritmaların yerel kurumlara ve sosyoekonomik şartlara uyarlanmasının, platformların uzun dönemli etkileri ve etkinlikleri açısından önemi tartışılacaktır.
