Abstract

"L'association internationale des chercheurs francophones en microfinance (AICFM) poursuit l'oeuvre qu'elle a entreprise en 2012 avec le soutien de l'Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF). Après un premeir volume, La Microfinance contemporaine. Défis et perspectives, issu du colloque de Brazzaville, en voici un deuxième, issu cette fois de celui organisé à Douala et auquel ont participé, avec des collègues d'universités françaises, des collègues des universités de Cotonou, Dakar, Brazzaville, Kinshaa, Yaoundé et Douala. L'originalité de cet ouvrage tient notamment à ce que ce sont le plus souvent les Africains eux-mêmes qui nous parlent de la microfinance. La dimension sociale est naturellement abordée. Mais avec le développement de plus en plus soutenu de la microfinance, la dimension financière est privilégiée. L'intégration des institutions dans le système financier fait l'objet de plusieurs contributions, tout comme l'évolution de cette nouvelle "industrie", du fait des besoins et des comportements de la clientèle, ainsi que des changements qui affectent le statut de certaines institutions."
