Abstract

Schools are gathered within a training pools as part of both a territory and relational network. These pools can be seen through closeness and proximity. The paper aims to explore how such closeness and proximity put in common management practices exchanges between principals in such a network. Training pool can be seen both as a rational myth (Meyer et Rowan, 1983) as part an organizational field that aims to coincide so legitimate management practices toward a normative isomorphism (Powell et DiMaggio, 2012). But the pool can also be seen as a relational network affording to increase the social and capital value for the members (Granovetter, 1985). Our results show the closeness seems to explain management within the pool more than proximity.
