L’attachement à son animal de compagnie : Une étude exploratoire sur sa relation avec le prix

Abstract

Le but de cette étude est d'examiner le lien entre l'attachement et le prix en termes de perception de prix payé par les propriétaires des chats en vue de l'alimentation de ces derniers. L'absence de résultats empiriques dans les études antérieures à propos de ce lien nous a conduits à mener une étude qualitative, laquelle a permis de mener une recherche de type exploratoire auprès de 26 personnes. Les résultats montrent qu'il existe des différences en termes d'attachement parmi les propriétaires des chats. Il existe également des différences de profils parmi les propriétaires ainsi que de perception de budget et prix consacrés à l'achat de leurs produits alimentaires. Plus spécialement, les propriétaires engagent des niveaux différents de prix allant du plus cher au moins cher. Ces résultats conduisent à des implications au niveau théorique et pratique.
