Abstract

Cette article se propose d'étudier l'instabilité des économies monétaires en des termes différents de ceux que l'ont retient d'ordinaire. On l'explique à la fois par la forme particulière de l'offre de crédit dans un système de monnaie interne et par des phénomènes de rationnement du crédit. On en déduit que la stabilisation du système tient beaucoup plus à la nature des relations entre le système financier et le système productif qu'au contrôle de quelque agrégat monétaire.
