Abstract

François Morin est professeur émérite de l'université Toulouse Capitole. Il a publié de nombreux articles de recherche sur le capitalisme français et sur la finance internationale. Ces dernières années, il a notamment publié L'Hydre mondiale : l'oligopole bancaire (Lux, 2015) et L'économie politique du xxie siècle. De la valeur-capital à la valeur-travail (Lux, 2017). Ses travaux universitaires l'ont conduit à intervenir dans plusieurs institutions publiques et notamment au conseil de la Banque de France, au Conseil d'analyse économique (CAE) et à la Commission de régulation de l'énergie (CRE). Dans son dernier ouvrage Quand la gauche essayait encore. Le récit des nationalisations de 1981 et quelques leçons que l'on peut en tirer (Lux, 2020), il relate son expérience de conseiller technique auprès du ministre chargé des nationalisations en 1981. Il montre comment l'État actionnaire réalise les arbitrages sur un dossier aussi important.
