Abstract

Cet article étudie la question de la redistribution et de la stabilisation inter-régionales au travers du budget du gouvernement central au Canada, en France, au Royaume-Uni et aux Etats-Unis. Les estimations effectuées reposent d'une part sur l'économétrie des données de panel et d'autre part sur l'adoption de principes comptables cohérents, qui ont été négligés dans les études antérieures. Il existait jusqu'à présent des travaux portant sur le Canada et les Etats-Unis, et des estimations partielles sur le Royaume-Uni, mais c'est la première fois que la France est introduite dans l'analyse et qu'une méthodologie unifiée est mise en œuvre pour ces quatre pays.
