Abstract

Les Européens vivent en moyenne de plus en plus longtemps. Cette bonne nouvelle communément partagée résulte d'une baisse de la mortalité en raison d'une amélioration des conditions de vie et du progrès médical. Ce dernier se traduit par le fait que de nombreuses maladies, en particulier celles qui sont chroniques, sont mieux soignées et qu'on en meurt moins. [Premier paragraphe]
