Abstract

La crise asiatique de 1997 a d'abord été le résultat de l'ouverture incontrôlée des marchés internationaux de capitaux, qui a abouti - au contraire de ce que promettaient ses zélateurs - à une allocation fort peu optimale des ressources financières mondiales. Mais elle a aussi révélé les limites de ce qu'on a appelé, de manière simplificatrice, le "modèle asiatique de développement" confronté aux exigences de la mondialisation de l'économie.
