Abstract

The aim of this work is to identify the conditions related to emerging hybrid entrepreneurial projects. These projects integrate a diversity of actors and logics. The studied hybrids are focused on the creation of social value, through the use of mixed resources. Hybridity implies the presence of organizational tensions, which originate in the sometime contradictory logics that run through the project. However, we know little about the explanatory conditions of the hybridity of an entrepreneurial project and the implementation of these tensions. We use an approach based on management devices through the case study of a participatory device, a call for citizen projects designed by a local public authority, promoting hybrid projects on its territory. We demonstrate how the device imprints on entrepreneurs a diversity of logics (of public action, citizen and business) and become an opportunity to set up innovative projects that are endogenous to their territory.
