Abstract

Recent technological developments have led to a questioning of the intermediation activities of the dominant players in the music industry. After reorganizing their resources and competences, these players have redeployed their functions around 360° strategies. Among emerging technologies, the Blockchain is often presented as a disintermediation tool. Indeed, it allows information to be stored or transactions to be carried out without recourse to a central control body. Through a qualitative methodology, this article aims to propose a prospective analysis of the impact of the Blockchain on intermediation within the music industry.
