Confinements et hausse des factures d’énergie : le risque de l’autorestriction

Abstract

En 2019 en France, parmi les dépenses de consommation énergétique liées au logement, 72 % concernaient uniquement le chauffage et l'eau chaude sanitaire. Si de nombreuses politiques publiques sont mises en place pour inciter les ménages à rénover leur logement, une grande partie des gains en efficacité pourraient être atténués par l'augmentation de la taille des logements, mais surtout par le comportement des ménages. Ainsi, dans un contexte où les taux d'occupation des logements sont plus importants, comme pendant le premier et le second confinement – qui ont eu lieu respectivement au printemps et à l'automne (période pendant laquelle on chauffe les logements, même si le climat est clément) – on aurait pu s'attendre à une hausse de la facture énergétique des ménages, même si nous ne disposons pas encore de ces données.
