Abstract

Les territoires foisonnent : nouveaux périmètres régionaux, regroupement de communes, simplification de la carte intercommunale, etc. Dans un contexte économique globalisé mais aussi de décentralisation accentuée, les acteurs des territoires ont intégré une exigence, voire une injonction : leur territoire doit être identifié, lisible et référencé afin de négocier leur positionnement vis-à-vis des autres territoires. Comment se réalise dès lors la fabrication des territoires ? Les démarches à l'oeuvre sont-elles la consécration d'une prise en compte de la complexité et de la multi-dimensionnalité des territoires ou au contraire sont-elles animées par des logiques de simplification. L'ouvrage regroupe une sélection pluridisciplinaire d'articles émanant de chercheurs en sciences humaines et sociales. Chacun en se référant à des espaces géographiques et des problématiques variées propose d'interroger les processus contemporains de fabrication et d'instrumentalisation des territoires.
