Abstract

L'objectif de cette étude est d'analyser l'impact prévisible de la mise en place du nouveau mécanisme de prix au producteur de coton sur l'ensemble de la filière coton et de l'économie maliennes, au regard des coûts de production et des mutations institutionnelles en cours au sein de la filière. L'étude met en évidence sur le plan microéconomique, un risque important de paupérisation des producteurs et, sur le plan macroéconomique, des répercussions négatives potentielles plus que proportionnelles sur l'économie malienne dans son ensemble.
