Abstract

Cet article cherche à comparer les conséquences de la pandémie sanitaire covid-19 entre le Mexique et la République Dominicaine. Pour ce faire, nous allons retracer brièvement les constructions socio-historiques de chacun d'entre eux, en nous penchant sur les piliers, sur lesquels repose chacune de ses économies. Nous insisterons sur le fait que l'épicentre de la pandémie actuelle se place aux États-Unis, pays avec lequel les deux cas étudiés ont des liens économiques, commerciaux et migratoires profonds. Nous examinerons dans quelle mesure la crise sanitaire peut devenir un tournant qui révèle d'autres problèmes structurels qui pesaient jadis sur les cas étudiés. Nous nous sommes donc risqués à proposer quelques scénarios de recomposition politique qui pourraient apparaître après cette crise.
