Abstract

1972 offre un point de vue tout à fait pertinent pour positionner le design et l'économie face aux effondrements. Notre démarche consiste à porter un regard croisé sur l'histoire du design et de l'économie. Nous soulignons la nécessité d'un rapprochement entre économie et design. Notre hypothèse est la suivante : pour que le design puisse œuvrer à l'habitabilité du monde, l'économie doit redevenir une économie de la ressource et refuser l'idéologie progressiste de la croissance. C'est à travers la réévaluation du rapport Meadows, d'un côté, et la relecture de Maldonado et Papanek, de l'autre, que nous examinons cette hypothèse.
