Abstract

Le naufrage de l'Amoco-Cadiz, le 16 mars 1978, faisait de nombreuses victimes sur les cotes bretonnes, celles-ci ont engage un procès en responsabilité civile contre le groupe Amoco désigné comme responsable de la catastrophe au procès de Chicago. Cette première, en quelque sorte, en matière de droit international, et la détermination des victimes a se défendre, en a fait un phénomène mondial fortement commente par la presse et les médias. Le point de droit évoqué reste cependant complexe. L'expose se propose de rechercher d'une part, les origines, les formes et les enjeux de la démarche des victimes bretonnes et d'autre part d'analyser les différents intérêts et les partis en cause.
