Abstract

La production laitière liée a de fortes marges, reste le meilleur choix pour un bon nombre de petites et moyennes exploitations. Jusqu'en 1984, l'accroissement de la production laitière entrainait un mieux être de l'exploitation. La mise en place des quotas a bouleverse ce système dans la mesure où il accroit les marges sur les surfaces maintenues en production laitière et fait chuter les marges sur les surfaces qui y sont retirées. Nous avons ainsi plus d'un cote et moins de l'autre. Que devient donc l'utilisation de la somatotropine face a ces nouvelles données ? Nous avons tente de répondre à cette interrogation en construisant des modèles de systèmes de production, et en mesurant la modification des résultats économiques consécutive a l'emploi de la somatotropine (BST).
