Abstract

La hiérarchie des prix et le niveau de soutien institués par la politique agricole commune ont accentué la spécialisation régionale agricole. Ainsi voit-on fortement se modifier au cours des vingt dernières années la carte des spécialisations régionales, avec notamment une extension de la production céréalière hors des zones naturellement propices. Par ailleurs on assiste au dépérissement des zones montagneuses. Raisonnant dans un cadre d'équilibre statique, on considère le cas hypothétique d'une suppression complète de toute protection. Ceci revient a une forte baisse de production pour le lait, la viande bovine et les betteraves industrielles. Ce sont les fruits et légumes, ainsi que les vins courants qui sont le moins touchés. Ces baisses qui ont des répercussions régionales en fonction de la structure du produit s'expliquent a la fois par les différences de protection et d'élasticité des prix de l'offre.
