Abstract

Dans le cadre du contrat Plan État-Région 1989-1993, la Région Basse-Normandie s'est engagée dans un programme d'action en faveur du patrimoine halieutique régional. Après les plans nationaux "Saumon" (1976-1980) et "Migrateurs" (1982-1986), les efforts coordonnés portent prioritairement sur les rivières à salmonidés migrateurs, saumons et truites de mer, en vue du développement de formes actives de "tourisme-pêche". En complément aux investissements et opérations techniques de mise en valeur de cette ressource naturelle, une analyse économique de la pêche sportive des salmonidés migrateurs, localement très active, a été effectuée en 1990. Ce travail, mené sur la Sée et la Sélune pour le saumon et sur la Touque pour la truite de mer, propose une première évaluation économique de la pêche sportive des salmonidés migrateurs en Basse-Normandie. Il s'agit de la première approche de ce type réalisée sur des rivières françaises. Il a bénéficié d'un financement conjoint de la région Basse-Normandie et du Conseil Supérieur de la Pêche.
