Abstract

Ce livre propose une analyse critique des différentes composantes de la valeur de l'eau à partir d'une lecture de la littérature internationale. Après un rappel succinct des principes généraux guidant l'évaluation économique des biens environnementaux, on met en perspective les connaissances acquises à l'étranger, sur la mesure des bénéfices d'une politique de l'eau par grandes catégories d'usage, et l'expérience française encore très lacunaire en la matière ; puis on tente une synthèse des évaluations disponibles afin d'avancer quelques ordres de grandeur des consentements de la collectivité à payer pour une amélioration de la qualité de l'eau et du milieu aquatique.
