Abstract

Au Cercle Condorcet de Rennes, un groupe a réfléchi pendant deux ans à la place des religions et de l'éthique à l'école. S'il nous paraît, bien sûr, indispensable de corriger l'inculture religieuse des élèves, en particulier en histoire, en littérature en philosophie, en revanche, nous pensons qu'il ne faut pas se limiter à cela, ni créer une discipline supplémentaire alors que les programmes sont déjà surchargés. Nous proposons plutôt que l'éducation civique soit en partie repensée dans un objectif de formation non seulement du citoyen, mais aussi de l'homme, en faisant place à la fois aux religions, aux courants de pensée et aux valeurs, à l'éthique.
