Abstract

Mayotte, île française de l'océan Indien, est engagée dans un processus de transition institutionnelle, économique et sociale majeure pour obtenir le statut de département en 2010. L'alignement sur la métropole s'accompagne de nouvelles opportunités de revenus et d'un accès facilité aux subventions agricoles, mais induit également une réforme du système de propriété foncière. L'objectif de cet article est d'identifier les impacts de ce changement institutionnel sur la gestion de l'activité agricole des ménages ruraux.
