Abstract

De par leurs fonctions de type physique, écologique ou marchand les zones humides présentent un intérêt social de première importance. L'évaluation des bénéfices qu'elles apportent à la collectivité soulève de très nombreux problèmes théoriques et empiriques. Si l'on admet la nécessité de les conserver, ou même de les restaurer, on peut s'interroger sur les montants qu'il conviendrait de verser aux agriculteurs pour les inciter à cette opération. A partir d'un modèle de simulation on a cherché à voir l'importance du manque à gagner dans cette situation. Pour un système de type de grande culture il s'élève à 5 540 F/ha. Pour un système laitier classique il est de 4 560 F si le bas-fond est inutilisé et 2 500 F s'il sert pour nourrir les vaches.
