Abstract

Dans l'évaluation des dommages socio-économiques des marées noires, les pertes non marchandes tiennent une place importante. Toutefois ces coûts sont rarement estimés. Dans le cas du naufrage de l'Erika, une telle tentative a été conduite en considérant les pertes d'aménités subies par les pêcheurs à pied dans l'impossibilité de pratiquer ce loisir. En recourant à la méthode des coûts de déplacement l'auteur propose une évaluation de la perte de surplus du consommateur. On obtient un montant de l'ordre du total des coûts de nettoyage (100 à 120 millions d'euros).
