Concurrence spatiale en univers aléatoire : le cas de l'industrie laitière et de ses marchés

Abstract

Dans cet article, les auteurs se proposent de mesurer les performances des entreprises sur les marchés qu'elles approvisionnent. Pour cela, ils utilisent un modèle qui tient compte de l'interdépendance des firmes et du caractère aléatoire de la demande. Le problème posé ne se ramène pas à la seule détermination optimale des courants d'échanges entre des agents dont la localisation est donnée, mais il conduit aussi à s' interroger sur les substitutions possibles entre l'implantation géographique des entreprises et leurs niveaux de production. Il débouche, par conséquent sur le choix des points de l'espace occupé par les agents économiques.
