Abstract

Les quelques innovations que nous avons etudiees dessinent une evolution convergente des conditions de travail des agriculteurs. Le travail physique le mieux connu : manutention, ports de charges, a fortement regresse. Mais l'aspect statique du travail physique s'accroit et notamment ses contraintes posturales. Parfois, une cohorte de nuisances : bruit, vibrations..., est le symbole le plus expressif de la mecanisation. Les changements techniques redefinissent l'organisation du travail. Ils restreignent et recomposent les collectifs. L'operateur selectionne doit s'adapter a de nouveaux rythmes et a un cadre temporel. Sa specialisation l'oblige a acquerir des competences specifiques. Il lui faut particulierement mettre en oeuvre certaines aptitudes : gestion de l'information, planification de l'action, coordination. Les nouvelles techniques mettent en evidence une grande partie, habituellement meconnue, du savoir des operateurs. Plus fondamentalement, elles se comportent comme des revelateurs de la dimension mentale de leur travail.
