Abstract

Apres avoir rappele rapidement les travaux recents portant sur la redistribution spatiale des activites sur le territoire, d'une part, et ceux portant sur l'aggravation des differenciations sociales en agriculture, d'autre part, cet article enonce l'hypothese de correspondances possibles entre des types d'espaces ruraux, animes par des logiques de developpement specifiques et des modes d'organisation de l'activite agricole. Ces correspondances conduisent, en tendance, ou pourraient conduire a differencier l'espace rural en trois ensembles socio-spatiaux : des bassins de production agricoles specialises sous la dependance de l'agro-industrie, des couronnes periurbaines qui subissent l'attraction et pourraient valoriser la proximite de la ville et de l'industrie, un rural profond a l'ecart de ces dynamiques et en voie de marginalisation.
