Abstract

La nature de la concurrence entre entreprises a subi de très forts changements à partir des années 80. Les dimensions les plus importantes de ces changements sont la globalisation, la libéralisation, l'émergence de plusieurs nouvelles technologies et les collaborations interinstitutionnelles. Ces changements, dans le contexte de la concurrence, peuvent avoir des implications très profondes sur les politiques industrielles. Cet article commence par décrire quelques aspects fondamentaux des théories évolutionnistes avant de déduire des implications relatives aux politiques industrielles. Etant donné le caractère synthétique de cet article, l'analyse doit être nécessairement limitée. Seules quelques implications générales des théories évolutionnistes pour les politiques industrielles, les conséquences possibles de la globalisation sur les systèmes nationaux d'innovation (SNI) et de la croissance de variété sont analysées ici.
