Abstract

Cette étude présente une analyse de l'agriculture communautaire à la veille de la réforme de la politique agricole commune de 1992. Elle s'appuie sur les données statistiques publiées par les services de la Commission européenne, ainsi que sur celles disponibles dans le Réseau d'information comptable agricole (RICA, 1991) des douze Etats membres. L'étude permet d'analyser, par pays, la contribution de l'agriculture à l'économie, la spécialisation agricole, les structures d'exploitations, les niveaux de productivité et d'intensification. Pour les trois grandes productions concernées par la réforme de la PAC (grandes cultures, viande bovine et lait), une analyse comparative des marchés (production, consommation, échange) et des caractéristiques des exploitations est menée entre les Etats membres.
