Abstract

Cet article est consacré à l'accord d'association signé entre la Hongrie et l'Union européenne (UE) et aux enseignements que l'on peut en tirer en ce qui concerne l'adhésion de la Hongrie à l'UE. L'impact de l'accord est évalué sur les échanges agro-alimentaires de la Hongrie avec l'Union européenne. Le rôle de l'accord sur l'harmonisation des législations hongroises avec celles de l'UE est souligné. Incontestablement, l'accord représente sur ce plan un accélérateur des réformes hongroises. En fin d'article sont abordées les insuffisances de la compétitivité agro-industrielle hongroise sur le marché communautaire. L'UE pourrait contribuer à réduire ces faiblesses dans la phase de pré-adhésion en ouvrant plus largement son marché aux produits hongrois.
