Abstract

Les politiques de l'environnement, en affichant des ambitions élevées, nécessitent des outils de décision appropriés. Si les actifs naturels que l'on désire préserver ont certainement une valeur, ils n'ont généralement pas de prix. Leur en conférer un, est le propos des méthodes d'évaluation qui ont connu un fort développement depuis une trentaine d'années mais qui souffrent de certaines limites. L'article se propose de préciser les limites et les questions que ces évaluations posent à l'économiste tant au plan appliqué que théorique.
