La contribution de l'agriculture à l'emploi régional : questions de méthodes et application au Languedoc-Roussillon

Abstract

Les auteurs présentent les résultats d'une évaluation de la contribution de l'agriculture à l'emploi en Languedoc Roussillon. La méthode proposée repose sur une représentation simplifiée des relations qu'entretient l'agriculture avec le reste de l'économie régionale. Les emplois sont quantifiés par des descripteurs appropriés, en tenant compte des statistiques disponibles. L'application en Languedoc Roussillon montre que près d'un emploi non agricole est lié à un emploi agricole, et que les effets de consommation des ménages en sont la principale origine. Une adaptation de la méthode est également proposée au niveau de deux cantons en partant d'enquêtes auprès d'exploitations agricoles.
