Abstract

Cet article fait le point sur l'état des connaissances relatif à l'estimation de la sensibilité de la demande d'aliments fourragers dans l'Union européenne (UE) par rapport aux prix. Après une brève description des principales caractéristiques du marché communautaire de l'alimentation animale, plusieurs méthodes de modélisation sont discutées. Celles-ci peuvent être classées en trois grands groupes : approches synthétiques ; programmation linéaire ; approches économétriques. On passe également en revue, et ce brièvement, les récents prolongements de l'approche économétrique "traditionnelle", tels que la construction de bilans fourragers à partir de données incomplètes et la mesure du progrès technique induit par les prix. Enfin, l'article soulève un certain nombre de problèmes méthodologiques et pratiques.
