Abstract

Plusieurs mécanismes économiques sont à la disposition d'un régulateur souhaitant limiter les pollutions diffuses tout en préservant l'activité agricole. L'article compare l'effet attendu sur la pollution et le revenu, au sein d'une population d'éleveurs laitiers, de plusieurs instruments en tenant compte de leur acceptabilité : taxation linéaire sur les engrais, extensification uniforme, quota d'engrais. Il illustre également l'intérêt de construire des mécanismes de régulation reposant sur une taxation non linéaire de la production. Les résultats du modèle présenté reposent sur des données acquises sur un bassin versant d'élevage en Loire-Atlantique.
