Abstract

Le débat international sur la biodiversité est à l'interface de plusieurs forums de négociation dans lesquels les acteurs et les institutions s'affrontent pour définir des priorités et choisir des instruments de gestion des ressources génétiques. L'un des principaux enjeux est de définir la hiérarchie et la compatibilité des accords signés dans le cadre de la convention sur la diversité génétique, de l'Organisation mondiale du commerce et de la FAO. L'autre enjeu est de redéfinir des coopérations équitables avec les pays du Sud qui détiennent une grande partie de la richesse génétique mondiale et disposent ainsi d'un pouvoir de marchandage nouveau.
