Abstract

À l'origine du salariat, l'employeur fixait librement le prix du travail. La mise en place du Smig en 1950, puis du Smic en 1970, a permis de garantir un plancher de rémunération aux salariés. Par ailleurs, avec la mise en œuvre des dispositifs de participation au début des années 60, le salarié s'est vu reconnaître le droit de profiter des résultats de l'entreprise. L'obligation de négocier chaque année les rémunérations à partir des lois Auroux de 1982 a contribué au rééquilibrage des relations contractuelles.
