Abstract

L'intérêt suscité aussi bien par l'EDI et le groupware que par le business process reengineering, a montré une attente en matière de coordination du travail des individus et des groupes. Les systèmes d'information se sont principalement construits autour des fonctions de mémorisation et traitement des informations. La troisième fonction, celle de communication s'est centrée sur les transferts de données structurées et les dialogues homme/machine. Le pilotage des processus, des activités, la gestion des aléas... nécessitent aussi bien des échanges que des ressources informationnelles. Ces problèmes restent souvent hors du champ de la conception des systèmes d'information. Le but de cet article est d'ébaucher une modélisation des communications, pour ouvrir des perspectives lors de la conception. On s'inspirera des cadres conceptuels proposés par les théories de différentes disciplines, qui ont étudié la nature et le rôle de la communication.
