Abstract

Le chapitre donne une vision internationale des soutiens à l'agriculture à partir des données de l'Organisation mondiale du commerce et de l'OCDE. Les notifications des Etats à l'Organisation mondiale du commerce permettent d'appréhender la protection à la frontière, le soutien interne et les exportations subventionnées. Sur ces trois volets, les effets de l'application de l'accord du cycle de l'Uruguay sont analysés. Pour les pays de l'OCDE, l'évolution des soutiens de l'agriculture est étudiée, en termes réels, entre 1986 et 2002. Une dernière partie examine les soutiens agricoles dans les pays en transition.
