Abstract

A l'instar de la plupart des pays occidentaux, le mouvement coopératif français a joué un rôle important dans la dynamique de developpement agricole et agro-alimentaire, notamment depuis les annees 60, en participant pleinement à l'essor des activités de transformation et en permettant l'emergence de groupes industriels figurant parmi les leaders nationaux. Ce constat est particulièrement vrai dans l'Ouest de la France, en Bretagne, où leur contribution economique et sociale a constitué un déterminant essentiel du "modèle agricole breton".
