La place de la coopération agricole dans l'enseignement supérieure agricole en Europe

Abstract

Cet article présente les résultats d'une enquête réalisée en 2003, auprès de cinquante-quatre établissements d'enseignement supérieur agricole de quinze pays d'Europe occidentale, visant à identifier l'offre actuellement proposée dans ces établissements en matière d'enseignements liés à la coopération agricole. Alors que la littérature insiste sur la nécessité de former les cadres salariés aux spécificités de ce type d'organisation, l'enquête montre le faible engagement de l'enseignement supérieur agricole dans ce domaine. La majorité des établissements ayant répondu à l'enquête n'offrent pas d'enseignement spécifique, et seuls quelques établissements proposent une partie substantielle de cursus en rapport avec le thème de la coopération, voire des formations diplômantes spécialisées. Face à cette situation et aux contraintes de moyens que subit l'enseignement supérieur, la question est posée de développer des initiatives dans un cadre de collaboration interuniversitaire, au niveau européen en particulier.
